CÔTE D’IVOIRE – On the 26 October, during Seedstars Abidjan, REMA won the Cameroon round of Seedstars World and will represent the country at the Seedstars Summit in Switzerland. The event took place at Seedspace Abidjan, and 11 selected startups were invited to present their companies in front of the local jury panel.
The local winner, REMA, is a collaborative medicine service dedicated to African doctors for better medical decisions, was named “Best Startup in Abidjan” for its innovative sustainable solution.
The CEO of REMA, Sedric Degbo commenting on the result says: “Applying to Seedstars is one of the best decisions I have had to make in my life as an entrepreneur and winning is a huge joy for me.”
As a part of the prize, REMA will be participating at the Seedstars Summit, which takes place in Switzerland, in April 2019. It is a weeklong training program, with the opportunity to meet the 65+ winners from other fast growing economies, as well as investors and mentors from around the world. The final day of the Summit is dedicated to pitching in front of an audience of more than 1000 attendees, with the possibility of winning up to USD one million in equity investment and other prizes.
The 11 startups pitched in front of a prestigious jury, including Ismael Cisse, Cheikh Diallo, Clyde Vacher, Josephine Ndao.
